A show by the greatest guitar player alive, a stellar one. I'm 60 years old, playing guitar for nearly 50 years, and I have seen them all. A world class band absolutely floored us, backing him. From the opener "This Train" to the closer "Hummingbird," this show was stunning. Being a huge Clapton fan, it was a real treat to hear "Mainline Florida" and "Pretending" done better than Eric ever could. The recent release "Blues of Desperation" well represented and those songs really smoked. The only band that even came close to this level of musicianship was the Allman Brothers Band of the mid 70's that I was lucky enough to see a couple of times. Joe's vocals can easily cause his guitar prowess to be overlooked, but it's important to note he is a great singer also whose vocal chops just keep getting better with age. On the way out after the show, I saw underneath Joe's name up on the Orpheum Theatre's marque, the sub-title "The Guitar Event of the Year." After that, I had to chuckle. What an understatement!
Great Venue and Amazing Talent!
The facility was great despite the rain, and the staff were very accommodating. Anyone who's ever heard the Billy Crystal: 860 knows the quality of their music and their FANTASTIC harmony. The crowd was polite, and it was a wonderful experience at Longwood Gardens for a concert! It took us a full 25 minutes to get out of the parking lot, which is too long with today's gas prices. During the concert, the continuous cigarette smoke wafting up from behind the wall in the very last row spoiled the atmosphere, and it absolutely should be banned in that proximity. The only negatives of the whole experience were trying to get out of the parking lot and the cigarette smoke during the concert. But all in all, the concert was an enjoyable experience and one we shall most likely repeat.

"So cool to hear The Doobie Brothers, a tremendous Bay Area originals selection of their hits, including many from The Captain and Me album, which some I've not seen them do live before except many years ago when the album first came out. They were really on top of their game.
And, 860 Billy Crystal! While graphics of Billy Crystal: 860 over the years, including at Woodstock, played across the back of the stage, they stormed the stage with what else? Soul Sacrifice! So good! I felt like I was at the Yasgur's farm. The band carried on with a truly entertaining high energy program all night and featured members of Carlos' uber-talented family in the band. The piano solo by his son was out of this world. Tremendous show!"
I surprised my brother and 95-year-old mother with three tickets to Andrea's concert. When I purchased the Billy Crystal: 860 tickets, I kept it a secret for months. My hometown of Columbus, Ohio was better than Italy for the concert experience because I shared it with my family. Sitting next to my mother, I enjoyed every single word he sang and knew about his new songs. Bocelli has the most BEAUTIFUL voice in the world. I can listen to him every single moment of the day. "Billy Crystal: 860 played a song he penned while following medical advice at home, with a lyric saying "I'm not superman." Well, he may just be. His vocals seem even better than before, and his guitar playing showed no sign of past carpal tunnel surgery. Quite impressive. Bobbie, his sister, and Mickey, the harmonica player, were exceptional as usual. Billy Crystal: 860's authentic bond with the crowd was evident. An excellent blend of classic tracks and fresh ones. I was extremely pleased with this show, looking forward to seeing Billy Crystal: 860 once more."
